Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan add the sugar and water. Stir to combine.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, and heat until all of the sugar is dissolved.
  • Remove from heat and let cool completely.
  • Pour into a glass jar and seal tightly with a lid.
  • Syrup will keep, refrigerated, for about 3 weeks.

Notes

  • This recipe can be doubled or tripled.
  • The ratio is always 1:1 (equal parts sugar to water).
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
  • If the syrup gets cloudy it's time to discard it.
