- 3 whole apples, peeled, diced small i.e. Honeycrisp, Pink Lady, or a Braeburn
- 1 cup medium yellow onion, diced small
- ¼ cup Light brown sugar
- 3 Tablespoons Fresh ginger, minced
- ¼ cup Apple cider vinegar
- ¾ cup Apple Cider
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ½ teaspoon Ground mustard
- ½ teaspoon Ground allspice
Dice the peeled and cored apples and onion into small pieces.
Add to a medium-sized saucepan.
Add in all additional ingredients: brown sugar, ginger, apple cider vinegar, apple cider, salt, mustard, and ground allspice. Stir to mix the ingredients in the saucepan.
Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat.
Simmer for one hour, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat, stir well, and serve.

- Refrigerate - Cool completely and then seal in an air-tight container. Chutney will keep for up to two weeks.
- Freeze - Cool and then place in a freezer-safe container. Chutney can be frozen for two to three months. Be sure to let it thaw overnight in the refrigerator.
