What is a Spritz Cocktail?
A Spritz cocktail can be traced back to the Veneto region of Italy. The romantic home of Romeo and Juliet, this region gave the world Prosecco.
Dating back to the 1800s, this cocktail started off by adding a splash of soda water to the local wines. It was a welcome refreshment and a bit of fizz on those hot afternoons.
The modern-day version begins with a classic sparkling wine such as Prosecco, a bitter-sweet liqueur, and a splash of soda. The most popular and well-known Spritz is the Aperol Spritz, which is always a fan favorite. Check out our classic recipe for the Aperol Spritz.
The Limoncello Spritz gained its popularity in the early 2010's and has been a delight on a hot afternoon ever since. We hope you enjoy our version of this tasty drink.
